Job Description:
• Champion Safety; promote safety awareness and safe lifting practices among project team members  and contractor personnel
• Advise project teams on lift planning (critical or routine) and execution to ensure all rigging and lifting activities are done safely
• Act as a lifting technical consultant to various Construction and Project task teams
• Propagate the use of best practices, international and company standards across project teams; advise project teams of new standards and best practices
• Ensure rigging and equipment transportation, lifting and load- out will be done safely
• Ensure overall planning and execution of lifting operations in all areas and assess the safety
• Assess contractor lifting processes, propose improvements
• Participate in front end planning and execution planning activities; constructability reviews, construction or installation risk assessments, construction input sessions etc.
• Participate in incident reviews and investigations as required
• Participate in verification reviews (IPRs, CRRs, CERs, Audits) as needed
• Assist in training, development and mentoring of the engineering and construction personnel; may also include contractor personnel
• Provide input into the  execution planning and contracting of onshore, offshore and subsea installation projects
• Serve as company representative to liaise with Contractor's rigging / lift specialist to ensure rigging activities are supported with engineering calculations/study
• Maintain familiarity with regulatory and industry standards that pertain to multi-crane lifts, large cranes, and heavy lifting where required.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Review rigging/lifting plans for lifts (critical, heavy and routine lifts) and approve/accept or suggest improvements
• Ensure necessary maintenance programs are established, implemented, completed and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and standards
• Review and (witness, as needed) lifts to support affiliate needs
• Review heavy/critical lift plans, construction / installation risk assessments, and other construction related reviews
• Assist contractor in the preparation of rigging plans and heavy lift activities to ensure safety of the workers and equipment
• Review and endorse/reject contractor's rigging and heavy lift proposal
• Visit NAPIMS and other government agencies if required
• Provide input into Construction/ Installation and execution plans
• Functional Training and Development:  Prepare and carry out on the job coaching and training for personnel involved in lifting operations to attain competence as detailed in the Company competence requirements.
• Champion the deployment of right people, resources consistent with global practice and LMS
• Capture and Incorporate global learning
• Integrate global initiatives in all lifting operations and efforts
 
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCES
• BS/MS in Engineering
• High level of lifting and construction knowledge, skill, and experience
• 10+ years' relevant experience
